CO2-Emissions

General aviation is subject to a lot of hostility, whether from noise abatement initiatives, aviation opponents or climate protectionists. The survival of the infrastructure that is so important to us is at stake in many places. Therefore, it is becoming increasingly important to fly responsibly and to understand and counteract the effects of a flight on our environment.

That is why WeFly has decided to offset the CO2 emissions of our aircraft.

In doing so, it is important to us to promote concrete projects, to create comprehensible compensation and not simply to rely on certificates that are often of questionable origin.

Together with MyClimate, a non-profit organization that emerged from the Technical University of Zurich, we engage in climate protection while also promoting sustainability. All of these projects are certified by independent testing organizations.

For example, the projects supported by WeFly provide clean drinking water through modern filter technology for schools and households in Uganda, so that the water no longer needs to be boiled. In Kenya, we distribute efficient stoves and ovens and reduce deforestation of the rainforest.
